I have so much to catch up on- it is giving me stress every time I think about it. So much has happened in the past one or two months. Our summer was jam packed with fun but I am so glad it is over. We had swim lessons, swimming at Sandy's pool, drive-in movies, and trips to the lake with the jet skis. Cloee's had physical therapy and fewer doctor appointments than ever! Will and I had a Murder Mystery Dinner Party at our house with 3 other couples- we all dressed up and had great food, great fun, great company, and a great mystery. We have 3 more games to throw 3 more Murder Mystery Parties! (If you would be interested in coming to one leave me a comment or email me). We had a family trip to Greer to enjoy the beautiful woods, lots of rain, and do some fishing. I had a super fun girls over-nighter at a resort in Scottsdale with some of my favorite friends which included a few good meals out, a fun trip to Scottsdale Fashion Square (without kids was a weird experience), a stop at Sprinkles- the overpriced cupcake bakery, and even a movie (Mamma Mia). I am looking forward to another one very soon. (Check your calendar girls- end of Sept or beginning of Oct was when I am thinking.) Cade had his 5th birthday and will had his 33rd the same day. Cade had his first 'friends only' party at Makutu's Island and he and all the other kids had a blast. Will enjoyed a few paint ball trips up north and looks forward to one coming up in a few weeks. I have been involved in book club, craft club, and visiting teaching.
Since summer come to an end and school started- Carlee in 3rd grade and Cade in 1/2 day Kindergarten, things have settled down a little bit. Carlee turned 8 and started attending activity days. She looks forward to her 'friends only' party coming up. Will was involved in a camp out for the youth that stood up to the challenge from the bishop of reading the B of M by August. This kept Will pretty busy but I think it was well worth it. My best friend, Angela, who just finished her first year towards getting her Master's from Columbia University in New York was in town and came and stayed with me for a while and we had a great time- shopping, going to the lake with the jet skis and shopping some more. Carlee was just baptized yesterday and it turned out wonderful. We had a get together afterwards and enjoyed eating food and spending time with great friends and family.
This brings us to the present. I still plan to post pictures and comments from some of the hi-lights of our summer so if you want to see them you may have to scroll down to find them because I may back date them to when they really occurred.
